ODE 30-Day Notice for Statewide Tests

Districts and public charter schools must provide parents with notice at least 30 days prior to administering the summative assessment in Math and ELA using the ODE provided 30 day notice and opt-out form. Please read the attached document (English/Spanish) to learn more about state testing requirements and parental rights to opt-out of the Math and/or  ELA summative assessment. Federal and state laws require that at least 95% of students in grades 3-8 and 11 take the Oregon Summative Assessment in English Language Arts and Math. More information regarding the importance of state testing and systems of accountability will be posted soon.

The ODE 30-Day Notice for Statewide Tests document including the optional opt-out form will be available on the district and school websites for families of grade 11 students that are interested. If choosing to opt your student out of state testing please follow the directions listed below:

  1. Print a copy of the form off the website OR pick up a copy in the main office at your student’s school
  2. Complete the form
  3. Return the form to your student’s school

Opt out requests will not be taken over the phone.

Home of the Panthers

Our Principal

Welcome to Redmond High School, Home of the Panthers, and welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! Our theme this year is “BELIEVE.” We believe in the awesome potential of our students, and we will be encouraging our students to believe in themselves, to know what they are capable of and to realize there are people around them who believe in them, too. We will encourage all of our students to never settle for anything less than their best. We believe in our families, our students, our staff, and our school, and we believe this will be a GREAT school year!

Redmond High School provides an amazing opportunity for our students to succeed through a variety of academic coursework, many outstanding clubs, activities and sports, and an awesome staff of dedicated adults working extremely hard for our students.

We are proud of our past accomplishments and look forward to many more. Our graduates of 2022 earned over 1.5 million dollars in scholarships, and we know they will continue to do great things because they have been prepared to do well beyond high school. We join the district in endorsing the vision of “Thriving Students, Engaged Community, and Ready Graduates,” and look forward to joining with our families and communities to work for the success of each and every one of our students.
