Winter Sports Coming Soon: Boys & Girls Basketball, Swimming, Wrestling and Cheer

Registration Timeline:

  • October 13th: ‘FamilyID’ open to register-don’t procrastinate! Sign up early!
  • November 12th: Registrations due by 3:00 PM to guarantee the screening process has been completed in order to try-out 
  • November 17th: First day of Winter Sports: Practice begins -*athletes must be completely cleared to practice-*see eligibility checklist to compete below
  • November 20th: Mandatory Fall Sport Parent Night 6:30-7:30pm in the RHS auditorium

*Eligibility checklist to compete in Redmond HS Athletics:

  • Register on Family ID
  • Have a current physical on file in the Athletics Office.  Physicals are good for up to 2 years. More info on the “Athletic Forms” page.
  • pay to play fees paid-please wait if you are trying out for basketball as there may be cuts
  • Academic eligibility-RHS Athletes must pass at least 4 out of 5 classes the trimester prior to their season in order to participate. Trimester 3 grades will be used to determine initial eligibility for FALL sports until Tri 1 grades come out.  Athletes must also be on track to graduate.
  • Transfer paperwork if coming from another school district or in-district (see below).
  • Insurance is mandatory for RHS athletes.  If you need insurance, please see K&K Insurance for information.

***The Redmond High Fall Sport Parent Night is November 20th in the RHS Auditorium.  This is for parents, athletes and coaches.  We will meet together for a short presentation by our Athletic Director, Kacey McNulty and then break into areas by sport for your coach/sport meeting.  Please plan to attend!

  Registration Notes…

  • Redmond Proficiency Academy students must be enrolled and passing a minimum of 2.5 credit classes the semester prior to their sport and during their sport.   All 9th graders are automatically eligible for Fall sports. 
  • All Non-Redmond High School student-athletes must bring a current class schedule with credits and transcript to athletic sign-ups to receive clearance for sports.  Also, School Representation Eligibility Certificate filled out and signed by attending school and parent.  Proof of address required also.
  • Home school student-athletes must bring last years test scores.  Test must be taken by August 15th!
  • Nutrition paperwork must be completed yearly to see if your athlete may qualify for discounted athletic and other fees.
