Graduation Information - IMPORTANT!

Posted Date: 06/02/25 (08:39 AM)

Dear RHS Families and Seniors:

Graduation is just 4 days away!  Here are some important details to know leading up to and including graduation!

On Friday: Students should arrive to RHS at 8:15 am with their Cap and Gown and their legacy tiles. They will drop off their tiles in the commons. They will do the Senior Breakfast, their "Last Lap" drumline around the school in their cap and gown, and will board buses to the fairgrounds for practice. Practice is MANDATORY, and students MUST ride the bus both ways. We will return to RHS by 11:45, so plan ahead. They should arrive back at the Fairgrounds by 6:00 pm ready to graduate!

We will celebrate this awesome class on Friday, June 6th at 7:00 pm at the Deschutes County Fairgrounds, 1st Interstate Building. The ceremony will be live streamed here: https://www.youtube.com/live/rsm1mloZ5a8?si=65jZakWB0aMRCp1. There are no tickets needed. Seats are not assigned - they are 1st come, 1st served. Doors open at 6:00 pm. There are 500 seats on the arena floor that are also available - no standing is permitted in these areas during the ceremony.

RHS caps and gowns are required of all graduates. No decorations should be added to the gowns with the exception of traditional tribal regalia or recognized objects of religious or cultural significance. Students should get this approved ahead of time with their counselor or adminstrators. Only medals, cords and stoles issues by RHS at the Senior Celebration should be worn on graduation day. Families will have opportunities to pass out gifts, money, leis and adornments after the ceremony with photo opportunities for all students. In order to participate in the ceremony, students will need to be in a non-decorated cap and gown. We will NOT provide a replacement cap or gown if a student decorates it before the ceremony.

Students will assemble at the south entrance at 6:00 pm. Parents can go and find seats at that time.

Noise makers are not allowed, nor is confetti or spray streamers.

We will have a professional photographer there to get photos of the graduates with their diplomas. We will send those to families about a week after graduation at no charge.

Let me know if you have questions! Thanks for helping us to celebrate our events together with dignity and pride! Go Panthers!
